Death as a New Beginning (2015) is a classical suite for cello and piano composed by Jones to soundtrack a contemporary balletic short film, choreographed and starring Scottish Ballet’s Eve Mutso and Tama Barry and directed by Jones.

The piece was first performed at 2013 Glasgow Film Festival Contemporary Centre for Arts, as part of The Dead Man’s Waltz experimental theatre show Story’s End, and later recorded and mixed by students of Forth Valley College with support from Creative Scotland.
